Job description
Responsibilities
  • Operate on a two-week rota: Week 1 – 06:00‑14:00 Monday to Friday; Week 2 – 14:00‑22:00 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; additional on-call cover on Saturday and Sunday from 06:00‑22:00 for emergency calls, urgent visits and routine FCS duties.
  • Occasionally provide weekday on-call cover (17:00‑22:00) during staff sickness or annual leave.
  • Carry out care reviews, needs assessments and risk assessments with compassion and clarity.
  • Create tailored person‑centred care plans.
  • Support and mentor Care Assistants in the field.
  • Ensure care delivery is safe and in line with customer preferences.
  • Keep care documentation clear, up to date and compliant.

Field Care Supervisors are responsible for the efficient running of their own specific, defined areas and should spend approximately 95% of their working week in the field with the remaining 5% in the office to complete necessary administrative duties.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years' experience in a care setting (home care preferred).
  • Minimum of Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compassionate and calm under pressure.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, care planning and other systems (Access/People Planner).
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and incident reporting procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
