Job summary

United Learning is a large group of schools across England, and this role focuses on science subject improvement and teacher development. The Science Subject Adviser will lead improvements across 60+ academies, working with advisers and curriculum writers to raise attainment and progress in Science.

The role is predominantly field-based with significant travel to schools; a 60% remote/40% on-site split is envisaged, with some visits to London or Peterborough offices and other Trust schools as

Qualifications

• Experience in improving science teaching and learning across multiple sites.
• Experience supporting heads of departments and school leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support Secondary Academies across the Trust to raise science standards in all year groups.
• Visit schools to provide guidance to teachers, subject leaders and school leaders; assist exam preparation.
• Build capacity of leaders and teachers including trainees and ECTs; lead in Teacher Development Programme.
• Develop resources to support science teaching and assessment aligned to United Learning curriculum.
