Ref: 83-JH
Role: Field Based Reliability Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum DOE (Plus Company Vehicle/Allowance)
Location: National
Our client provides data‑led reliability services to clients in FMCG, food and beverage, packaging, and industrial sectors. Their condition‑based monitoring (CBM) services use tools such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, stress wave monitoring, oil sampling, and continuous systems to improve uptime and reduce costs.
You’ll carry out CBM surveys and inspections on‑site using techniques such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, oil sampling, and high‑speed data capture. You’ll be responsible for collecting reliable data, diagnosing emerging issues, and clearly communicating actionable findings to clients. You’ll also support CBM training, contribute to ongoing improvement projects, and collaborate with in‑house engineering and analysis teams. This role is about more than ticking checklists. It’s about delivering genuine insight, building trust with clients, and helping shift them toward predictive, data‑driven maintenance.
This role involves regular travel to client sites across the UK, with the possibility of overnight stays where required. A company vehicle will be provided after successful completion of the probation period.
We’re looking for someone who is hands‑on, dependable, and passionate about solving real‑world engineering problems. You should be comfortable in industrial settings, confident engaging with both technicians and management, and capable of working independently. This role suits someone who is curious, practical, and driven by quality. Our client values work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to learn far more than formal qualifications. If you’re the type who takes pride in doing the job right, enjoys figuring out how things fail, and wants to make a visible impact, you’ll be a strong fit.
Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential.
