Job summary

Swim England is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the planning and delivery of national competitions and corporate events from concept to completion. You will coordinate delivery teams, manage budgets, and maintain relationships with contractors, staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• 2 years' working knowledge and experience of event project management.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams of staff, contractors and volunteers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with varied stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects with financial oversight.
• Experience drafting plans, proposals and reports using insight and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of allocated national competitions and corporate events from concept to completion.
• Chair event planning meetings and coordinate delivery teams of contractors, staff and volunteers.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the event lifecycle.
• Ensure events align with rules, objectives and health and safety requirements.
• Manage allocated event budgets, including forecasting, financial analysis and reporting.
• Identify efficiencies and secure high-quality services at best-value costs.
• Represent the Events team at governance meetings and support cross-functional projects.
• Assist with developing new event concepts and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with Swim England and Home Nations teams.
• Support Swim England values across event planning and delivery.
