Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd seeks an experienced Clinical Health & Social Care Trainer to join the Learning & Development team. You will design, deliver and evaluate engaging training across our national care home portfolio, driving clinical excellence and service improvement.

The role is field-based with regular travel across the portfolio, occasional overnight stays and some evenings/weekends. You will support homes with learning needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Health & Social Care
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering training or learning programmes
• Strong understanding of care home operations and responsibilities of Registered Managers
• Experience conducting Training Needs Analysis
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
• Experience delivering EFAW or First Aid Trainer qualification
• Experience developing learning resources and materials
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in care home sector

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver high-quality clinical and care training programmes across the organisation
• Facilitate face-to-face training, workshops, webinars and practical skills development
• Deliver training on clinical topics including medication management, wound care, venepuncture, catheter care, BLS and EFAW
• Promote safe, person-centred care through coaching and learning interventions
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations and Home Management to identify learning needs and reduce risk
• Support homes with development plans and clinical skills training
• Evaluate training effectiveness and use feedback to improve outcomes
• Facilitate reflective practice, supervision and peer-to-peer learning
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practice, legislation and regulatory requirements
