A government environmental body seeks a Field Asset Maintenance and Incident Response Lead Team Member in Barton-upon-Humber. The Environment Agency protect and improve the environment. Climate Change is the biggest risk we face. We are planning for future flood scenarios including a 4 Degrees C rise in global temperature and are working with government, local councils, businesses, civil society groups and communities to make our environment a better place for people and wildlife. Field Operations protect people and the environment by maintaining and operating our flood and coastal risk management assets and responding to incidents.

Everyone that joins us is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when the need to respond arises, having an incident role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency and is an active way to support communities and prevent harm to the environment. Our field teams protect people and the environment by maintaining and operating our flood and coastal risk management assets and responding to incidents. Field teams have a range of technical skills they use to deliver watercourse maintenance, along with asset maintenance and construction projects. The team handle a variety of specialist equipment. They support the prevention or mitigation of incidents day and night.

This role includes being on standby and taking part in a duty roster, this standby role attracts additional payments. This is a non-hybrid role based in our South Ferriby Depot Office. You are required to have a full UK driving licence as the role requires you to travel to sites in your day to day work and for incident management.
