A prominent hospitality brand in South Queensferry is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join the Kitchen Team for the festive season. The role involves preparing and cooking dishes to high standards, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety regulations. A year's cooking experience or relevant education is required. Flexible shift patterns are expected, including Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. This position operates under a zero-hour contract with minimum wage plus additional payments.
Dakota Hotel based in SOUTH QUEENSFERRY are seeking eager and hard-working individuals to join our Kitchen Team for the role of Commis Chef this festive season.
Our location, Ferrymuir, Queensferry, South Queensferry EH30 9QZ is easily accessible by train (15min walk from Dalmeny Train Station) and bus (frequent stops at Ferrymuir Retail Park).
We also offer complimentary parking for both employees and guests. We at Dakota Edinburgh are a 130-bedroom boutique hotel with a destination cocktail Bar and brasserie-style Grill, as well as three events spaces.
The role carries is a zero-hour, fixed-term contract (17th Nov 2025 – 2nd Jan 2026)
Pay rate is national minimum wage plus tronc payments which are at least £1.95 per hour
Typical shifts will start at 3pm including working weeks
You must be available to work Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve
