A film festival organization in London is looking for volunteers to help with various roles such as marketing, hospitality, and event support. The ideal candidates should have good communication skills and an interest in Indigenous film. This is an immediate start position with shifts available until December 12th, 2025. Training and support will be provided.

Job description

Native Spirit Festival of Indigenous Film is looking for Volunteers for immediate start. The volunteer team will be key to promoting Native‑produced works and ensuring this year’s festival runs smoothly.

  • Start date: As soon as possible, with shifts available until 12 December
  • Promo & Marketing — Social media content creation and scheduling (70 films) Instagram, FB, YouTube. Newsletters (Mailchimp). Mailing list management.
  • General / Stewarding — Stewarding, ushering and invigilation of festival events.
  • Reception/Info Desk — The first point of contact for Public and Guests. Ability to work calmly under pressure and remain professional at all times. We’re looking for those with good communication skills, and passion for Indigenous film and Independent film festivals.
  • Events Production / Runner — Screenings & events set‑up & take‑down, food runs.
  • Marketing, Promotion & Data Capture — Promotional support, e‑marketing, social media support, distribution of marketing materials, requesting audience feedback, audience data analysis. (Eventbrite, YouTube, Mailchimp, Instagram, Twitter, FB, Survey Monkey).
  • Photography / Video Documentation — Documenting events.
  • Admin — Assisting festival organisers with general festival admin including mail‑outs, inputting data and collating information. (gdocs & spreadsheets).
  • Hospitality — Looking after guests and sponsors on arrival, registering them and providing all information they may require. You need to be friendly, approachable and calm under pressure.
Person specifications

Ideal candidates are discrete, with personal / professional knowledge and awareness of Indigenous communities (artistic, cultural, social). Speakers of other, or Indigenous languages, including Welsh, Irish, Scottish or Manx are likely to relate to the revitalisation of languages impacted by colonisation and featured in many films.
