LOCATION: Flexible UK base
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £60,000 - £70,000 (plus London Weighting of £5,441 if your base is Broadcasting House, London) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

The Festival Production Executive will lead and oversee the strategic planning, event site production and stakeholder coordination of BBC Radio’s flagship live music events- Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Radio 2 in the Park.
The role will be responsible for overseeing all council and event producer contracts, ensuring that agreements are clearly defined, compliant, and aligned with the strategic goals of the festival. This includes managing timelines, deliverables, and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders. With significant financial responsibility, the Festival Production Exec will lead on the event production budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and value for money across all areas of delivery. They will act as the primary liaison with external partners for both events.
The BBC Live Music & Events team is a specialist team within the BBC's Content division. We are responsible for delivering all live music and event activity across Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music, 1Xtra, and Asian Network, working closely with colleagues in BBC Introducing and across BBC Music. Our mission is to grow audiences by producing impactful and sustainable live music and events for broadcast.
This is a pivotal role that shapes two of the BBC's most iconic live music events, combining strategic foresight, leadership, operational excellence, and creative innovation. It is a unique opportunity to support and shape the strategic long‑term planning for the events ensuring alignment with the BBC's overarching objectives and network goals. The role is responsible for leading the planning, organisation and technical delivery of two of BBC Radio's flagship events.
