Job summary

A specialist social care services provider in England is seeking a Female Support Worker to provide practical and emotional care to individuals. This role involves implementing support plans and assisting service users with daily activities while promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Health and Social Care, experience working with vulnerable adults, and excellent communication skills. Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve. To help them achieve this you will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends and potential sleep ins.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
  • To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events.
  • To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
  • To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.
  • You will be covering our 3 Supported Living services, where a warm welcome awaits you.
  • Offering a superior service to our young adults you’ll be supporting Service Users with learning difficulties, mental health issues, behavioural difficulties, autism and physical disabilities.
Personal Characteristics
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills
