Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking compassionate Support Workers for a male client in Lanner who has an Acquired Brain Injury. You will provide mobility assistance, support with daily living, and communicate clearly to address speech needs.

You’ll join a stable, caring team with day and night shifts. The role offers a flexible zero-hours contract, ongoing work, and opportunities to participate in activities that promote independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Provide compassionate in-home support to one client with ABI.
• Assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Demonstrate patience and active listening for communication difficulties.
• Work as part of a consistent care team.

Responsibilities

• Support client with daily living tasks and mobility needs.
• Assist with meals, activities and independence goals.
• Accompany client on outings in adapted van.
• Follow care plan and report changes to the team.

Support Worker – LannerWe are looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our team supporting a male client living in Lanner who has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).The client is a wheelchair user and requires support with mobility. He also experiences some speech difficulties, so patience, good listening skills, and clear communication are important when supporting him.About the client:The client is a friendly gentleman with a great sense of humour who enjoys spending time with those supporting him. He has a real passion for music from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and enjoys listening to his favourite songs throughout the day.He likes to be involved in preparing meals, particularly baking, and benefits from encouragement to take part in activities that support his independence and wellbeing.The client also enjoys getting out and about in his adapted van, especially trips to the seafront, where he enjoys fresh air, the scenery, and of course an ice cream.Shifts Available:Day Shift: 08:00am-08:00pm - 2 days a weekWaking Night Shift: 8:00pm – 8:00am - 4 nights a weekIn this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance.
