Overview

Female Support Worker – Newcastle, NE5. Part time hours with opportunity of Full time hours. Drivers preferred. Salary - £12.21 per hour. Shift patterns will include: 8am-6pm; 9am-9am (sleepover).

About the role

If you pride yourself on having a caring nature and want a fulfilling role supporting people, you will be supporting active individuals within their own homes and out in the community, taking them out in their cars on trips or going swimming. You will assist people with daily living tasks which may include domestic services, social support, personal care, support with medication and meal preparation. Real Life Options provides creative, dynamic and person-centred services with a range of individualised support to people living in shared supported living properties and individual tenancies on a 1:1 basis.

Real Life Options is a registered charity, currently growing, and we are continuing to search for permanent contracted Support Workers who want to make an impact on the lives of the people we support.

Role responsibilities

Supporting individuals with accessing their local and wider community; supporting individuals to enjoy leisure and learning opportunities; providing support for daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.

Across all services, the individuals we support have autism, learning disabilities and at times can display challenging behaviour. We are looking for candidates who have experience with behaviours that can challenge and who can follow detailed support plans to ensure a consistent approach.

Drivers preferred but not essential. An enhanced Adult and Child DBS will be required for this role.
