Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a compassionate Female Support Worker to assist residents at Peel House Melksham. You will help with daily living, personal care, and enabling independence, working within a supportive team.

We require a full UK driving licence and a flexible approach to shifts (7:00–14:00 and 14:00–21:00, with weekend rostering). Pay rate starts from £12.84–£14.84 per hour, with enhanced pay for evenings, weekends, and overtime as applicable.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories or trauma.
• Willingness to be flexible and resilient in a residential care setting.

Responsibilities

• Help residents gain independence in daily living.
• Work within a dynamic team to support residents.
• Assist with personal care and access to local community activities.
• Encourage social activities, outings and leisure for residents.
• Promote learning life skills and confidence with residents.

Location: Peel House Melksham (Please be aware if you live outside Melksham you will require transport as public transport is not available to get you to shifts on time)

Pay rate starting from: £12.84 - £14.84ph (Ts & Cs Apply)

Typical Shifts are a mixture of: 7am- 14:00 and 14:00 - 21:00 on a rota basis Monday - Sunday

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
