A residential care provider in Kendal is seeking Residential Support Workers to enhance the lives of young adults with learning disabilities. This full-time position offers the opportunity for career growth, including the completion of a Care Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. Successful candidates will be part of a passionate team that promotes independence and provides exceptional care, with a competitive salary starting from £28,501.2 per year.

Due to the growth of our service, we are looking for Residential Support Workers to join us, working across the already established Cambian Shap Road and our NEW PROVISION, soon to open within the local area!
You will have the opportunity to gain your Care Certificate Level 2 and also an NVQ Level 3 if you have not already done so when joining this home recently graded as “Outstanding” by CQC.
With an Outstanding CQC judgment, Cambian Shap Road is probably one of the best residential care homes of its type in the county. Located in the picturesque town of Kendal it provides exceptional care and support for young adults with Learning Disabilities and/or challenges within the autistic spectrum. The home is a registered 4‑bedroom house for young adults and they are closely supported to live as independent a life as possible and be a big part of the local community. We aspire for all of our people to be the best they can be as themselves whilst preparing them for future opportunities and/or lifelong fulfilment.
If you join us you will be working between Shap Road and our soon to open new service, with a group of young adults who are very happy and safe and who show high levels of respect and kindness towards each other. The life skills, support and care that we provide makes a significantly positive difference to their lives and parents have commented that the exemplary support their children receive has, ‘changed their lives and given them hope’.

They will be part of a large supportive care team who work holistically across Care, Therapeutic & Clinical services supporting each other’s practice to deliver specialist residential services to those with additional and complex needs, including Autism, severe learning disabilities and complex health needs. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with trained, qualified professionals from across our multidisciplinary team and to join an expanding and successful organisation.
