A healthcare provider is seeking capable part-time support workers to assist a client with a brain injury in Eastleigh. The role involves providing empathetic support, ensuring the client's safety, and facilitating independence. Location: Eastleigh
Days & Hours: Permanent part‑time support workers for 21 hours a week, with bank shifts to cover absences. Typical shifts are 7 hours long: 7:30 AM‑2:30 PM and 2:00 PM‑9:00 PM, Monday‑Sunday.
Pay: Weekdays £15.74 per hour; Weekends £18.08 per hour.
Driver Required? Desirable. Client car: a VW Transporter Wheelchair Adapted Van (manual). Supporting vehicle: may use your own vehicle on duty and for training meetings.
Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks).
Corina is an educated, intelligent lady in her early sixties who enjoys music, board games, crosswords, arts and community walks. She lives in an adapted bungalow with support from her mother, and uses a powered wheelchair. Her brain injury causes slower processing, dysphasia, and occasional challenging behaviour. You will provide quiet, empathetic support to help her maintain her interests and access the community.
Key responsibilities include ensuring her safety and physical well‑being, facilitating independence through a bespoke approach aligned with her psychologist’s plan, and assisting with weekly hydrotherapy.
