Cera in Christchurch is recruiting for a Carer to support residents in our Extra Care unit. No experience required; you will deliver personalised care and help residents live as independently as possible.

Shifts are day hours (7am–3pm or 2pm–10pm) with alternate weekends, and you’ll join a team that provides training, a benefits package, and opportunities for progression.

Cera are recruiting Support Workers for our Extra Care service in Bure House, Christchurch.

We’re recruiting for Day shifts only, either 7am–3pm or 2pm–10pm, and working alternate weekends.

It’s secure work that comes with good pay, great training and no previous experience is required.

Extra Care units offer residents their own self-contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based within the unit and who provide care to each resident. As a care assistant at our Extra Care Unit, you will be supporting residents, who all have varying needs to live as independently as possible, with personalised care and support plans in place.

Every client’s needs are different. You may assist with a bit of housework or help with getting up in the morning. A tasty hot meal and a listening ear. A hand with medication or getting washed and dressed. But more than this, our carers become friends, providing human company, encouragement and maybe a laugh or two, often when life has become a bit tough. Caring isn’t always easy, but a lot of people and their families will be grateful that you were there for them.
