Qualifications

  • Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification or willing to work toward it.
  • Proven experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is essential.
  • Experience in leading teams and service delivery within a regulated environment.

Job Title: Female* Support Manager

Location: Inverness, Highland

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 39 hours per week

Salary: Up to £36,339.97

Annual Leave entitlement: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays

Additional Information: For this particular role you must hold a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle, with insurance that allows business use.

We are looking for a skilled and values-driven Support Manager to lead and coach our teams in delivering outstanding, person-centred Support. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the people we support live fulfilling lives with choice, independence, and control.

Responsibilities

As the Support Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of several teams within a specific area. Leading teams to maintain an inclusive transparent culture that we are very proud of at Thera (Scotland) alongside robust regulatory, contractual and organisational compliance. The ability to lead teams to support growth and development is the key to success as is the ability to build trusted relationships with people supported friends and Family, local authorities, Thera Trust central teams and healthcare professionals to drive positive outcomes for the people we support.

Skills and Experience
  • Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification (or SCQF Level 9 in Scotland), or willingness to work toward it.
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience leading teams and managing service delivery in a regulated care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexibility to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
Desirable
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and managing change.
