Overview

Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a 55-year-old female with an acquired brain injury resulting in a Physical Disability living in the Motherwell.

Responsibilities
  • Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
  • Assisting with medication
  • Preparing meals and healthy snacks
  • Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities
  • Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair
  • General Housework
  • Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
  • Interests include reading, cooking, shopping and swimming.
Qualifications

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Relevant care experience is required but not essential as training will be provided.

Hours of Work

Recruiting for 1 permanent position of 16 hours per week.

Monday and Friday: 8.30AM - 5.30PM

Hourly rate: £15.00 per hour
