Overview

Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a woman with a physical disability living in the Carluke area. Provide one‑to‑one care within her home and in the community, attending personal care, medication, meals, walking assistance, wheelchair movement, household shopping, prescription collection and other daily living tasks to promote independent living. Engage in social and creative activities such as art, listening to audiobooks, swimming, music and socialising. Maintain a comfortable environment working with the resident’s pets. Cover staff absences and holidays as required. Participate in occasional weekend and evening shifts, if required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist a woman with a physical disability living in the Carluke area.

Qualifications
  • Experience providing personal care or support for a disabled individual.
  • Ability to assist with personal hygiene, toileting, medication and safe mobility (including manual wheelchair pushing).
  • Vaccinated against Covid‑19 (or have reasonable grounds for exemption).
  • Driver’s licence preferred but not essential.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; warmth and friendliness.
  • Available to work shifts of 3¼ hours, four times per week, with flexibility for weekends and evenings.
Benefits & Working Hours

Guaranteed permanent position of 13 hours per week, paid at £12.60 per hour. Four shifts of 3¼ hours each. Shift flexibility and potential weekend or evening work.
