Overview

Female Personal Assistant required to support a young lady in the Chester-le-Street area who has Autism, Learning Disabilities and complex needs. Rate of Pay - £13.00 per hour. Hours – 104 hours to be used flexibly over 4 weeks and 1 x 24/48 hr overnight (times and days to be negotiated). Graded exposure training will be provided by an Occupational Therapist. Essential – experience and understanding of Autism, Learning Disabilities and mental health conditions. Long term position. Driving licence and access to a car. A DBS check will be required; employer will cover the cost.

Graded exposure in the community and activities of interest (including college) such as art, animals, music, etc. The role includes planning and social stories to support confidence and independent living skills, and administering medication and ordering medication.
