Job summary

Nycil is seeking an Experienced Female Personal Care Assistant for an 11 hour waking night shift per week and 4 flexible weekend hours to care for a 95-year-old lady with advanced dementia in Northallerton (DL6). The role requires a compassionate, patient individual with dementia care experience and the ability to work flexible nights (Fri/Sat/Sun) and weekend mornings.

Rate £16.29/hour. The ideal candidate will have dementia care experience (advanced stages) and be female due to the Equality

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, help with getting the lady up, dressing, and mobility assistance with a wheelchair.
• Support with evening/night shifts and weekend activities as required.
• Follow care plan and report changes to family.

Job description

An Experienced Female Personal Care Assistant is required for an 11 hour waking night shift per week and 4 flexible weekend hours, to care for a 95-year -old lady who has advanced dementia.

The care assistant must be flexible as the waking night will be on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night from 8 pm till 7 am. The 4 extra hours will be on a Saturday & Sunday to help with getting the lady up, personal care & dressed. The lady is a late riser so the shift times would be 11.30 am till 1.30 pm, these hours may not be every weekend and will be discussed at interview level.

The lady is not mobile and has a wheelchair for getting her around her home.

The rate of pay is £16.29 per hour.

It is essential that the PA has experience in the advanced stages of dementia care.

Exception Under The Equality Act (2010)- the post is only open to female applicants due to the personal assistance required.
