Job description
Overview

Reporting to: Direct Payment Employer
Location: Elswick, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Hours of work: 3 hours of work per week, Tuesday, with two possible shifts on a rota: 08:00am – 11:00am or 18:00 – 21:00
Rate of pay: £13.95 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care support, including assistance with showers, toileting, and transfers (using a hoist; full training provided).
  • Assist with daily living activities to support independent living.
  • Cooking and meal preparation as part of daily routine.
  • Support with shopping trips or dog walks, and time spent at home or outdoors as needed.
  • Be comfortable with assisting a Canine Partner assistance dog and help with cleaning up after the dog when required.

Requirements and expectations
  • There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010.
  • The role is subject to references and satisfactory DBS checks.
  • At the start of employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
  • There may be opportunities to pick up extra hours to cover when required.
