Female* Personal Assistant required in Bury St. Edmunds. 4 hours available per week. £16.00 per hour. Job reference: 5197.

Job purpose

I am seeking a kind and patient Personal Assistant to support me with tasks such as preparing healthy meals, domestic tasks, and personal care.

About me

I am a lady living in Bury St. Edmunds. I have MS, and I am in a wheelchair. I am looking for a Personal Assistant who will join a small team to support me with household tasks such as laundry and domestic chores as well as supporting me with personal care. My Personal Assistant will also support me to prepare healthy meals such as salads and soups and to plan my weekly menu.

Hours are flexible and to be agreed with the employer. 4 hours per week are to be spread across the week (2/3 shifts per week). The successful candidate may be asked to cover for other members of the team, so someone local to Bury St. Edmunds would be preferable.

Summary terms and conditions
  • Hours, days and times of work: 4 hours per week (2/3 shifts). Flexible days and times to be agreed with the employer.
  • Pay rate: £16.00 per hour
  • Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
  • Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
  • Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
  • Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
