Job summary

A caring services provider in the Tees Valley area is seeking a Female Personal Assistant aged 30+ to support a male client with learning difficulties. This role involves various duties including meal preparation, personal care, and medication support. Candidates must be reliable, have relevant caring experience, First Aid certification, and a driving license. The position offers £13 per hour for 5-7 hours per week with potential for additional hours. Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and domestic chores.

All care will be given in his own home.

Duties
  • Making and preparing meals.
  • Assisting in keeping living area clean and tidy.
  • Support with personal care as and when needed.
  • Support with medication.
  • Assistance to and from appointments along with main carer.
  • Other general duties to be discussed at interview.

Driver with own car essential.

Reliable, must have experience in a caring role either paid or unpaid.

Experience of working with people with learning difficulties preferred.

Must have first aid experience, current proof of certification required.

Potential overnight respite care may be needed in event of emergency if main carer unable to give care/support.

Hours / wage

£13 per hour

5-7 hours per week

Flexible extra hours to cover holidays and other absences – to be discussed at interview.

Successful applicants will be required to have an enhanced DBS check carried out prior to commencement. Employer will cover the cost.
