Qualifications
- Experience with hoisting, catheter care, and medication administration is preferred.
- Must be calm, compassionate, and emotionally aware.
- Reliability in working both days and nights is essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist with full mobility support using a ceiling track hoist.
- Prepare meals and assist the client with feeding.
- Monitor emotional wellbeing of the client.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with full mobility support using a ceiling track hoist
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding; monitor intake
- Administer medication, including controlled pain relief (training provided)
- Manage a suprapubic catheter; support with bowel continence
- Monitor emotional wellbeing – client may experience occasional suicidal ideation
- Support with communication, allowing time and patience
- Enable access to the community with the client’s partner or other carers
- Work closely with the wider healthcare team as needs evolve
Client Overview
- Currently has full mental capacity but likely to decline due to MS
- Generally in good spirits and communicative
- Requires full physical support (wheelchair/bed bound)
- Breathlessness at times – CPAP or cough assist may be introduced
- No current skin integrity issues
- PEG feeding under discussion for future needs
Who We’re Looking For
- Female carers only (as per client preference – Equality Act compliant)
- Experience with complex care preferred: hoisting, catheter care, medication
- Calm, compassionate, and emotionally aware
- Reliable and confident working days or nights in a small, consistent team
- Willing to undertake additional training as condition progresses
