A social care provider in Wakefield is looking for a compassionate individual to assist a client with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and engaging in leisure activities. The role requires 16.5 hours of work per week on a flexible schedule. Candidates should be honest, reliable, and able to adapt their support based on daily needs. I require support for my mother who has dementia and therefore needs support every day with general daily living - personal care, getting washed and dressed, food preparation, light laundry, companionship and leisure activities including encouraging my mother to use her wheelchair to enable her to do more, safely.
The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Hours per week: 16.5 over 5 days - 2 week rota as detailed below, mix of weekday & weekends; can be discussed at interview.
