Overview

Female Bank Support Worker
Pay rate: Days and Nights £14.18 per hour & Sleep in £10.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: 8:00am - 20:00pm, 20:00pm - 8:00am with a sleep during 23:00pm - 8:00am(24 hour shifts)The right Support Worker will need to be able to work a 24 hour shift.

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and proactive Support Workers to join a dedicated team providing 24-hour support for a young adult living in their own home with Global Development Delay, Autism, visual impairment (registered blind), and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

The person you will be supporting enjoys baking, cooking, and going on outings in the community. They attend a local day centre once a week and share their home with a much-loved indoor cat, so you must not be allergic to animals.

Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Autism
  • Behaviours that can be perceived as challenging
What will your shift involve?
  • Providing high-quality care on a 1:1 basis
  • Providing personal care and support with daily living tasks, including showering
  • Supporting with routines, community access, and attending appointments or day centre activities
  • Encouraging and enabling independence in a safe and supportive way
  • Working collaboratively with family and other professionals involved
  • Ensuring a calm, structured, and understanding approach to behaviour and emotional needs
