We're hiring in Dumbarton and Balloch for Bank Support Practitioners!! If you're looking for a rewarding role that fits around your commitments, this could be the one for you!

Our teams in Dumbarton and Ballochare expanding their Bank pools and are on the look out for motivated and caring female colleagues with a positive attitude to join them.

This is a Bank (as and when required) role, meaning shifts will be offered based on service needs. If you're looking for full‑time, guaranteed hours, this may not be the right fit, but if you want flexibility, we'd love to hear from you! We recruit on values and transferrable skills and we'll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Bank Support Practitioner and pay you for time.

The Role

As a Bank Support Practitioner you will play a vital role within our team. You will cover shifts to ensure continued high‑quality, person‑centred care and support during times of annual leave, training or sickness. To build trusting relationships with the people we support, we ask that you ideally pick up 1‑2 shifts per week.

You’ll support individuals living in their own homes in the community with disabilities and/or additional support needs. As a Support Practitioner, you will assist with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care. As well as helping the people we support in their own homes, you’ll also provide emotional support and assist them to maintain relationships with family and friends.

The people we support enjoy being active in their communities, from arts and crafts to watching football and going out for a tasty bite to eat, the list is endless. We also have a few people we support who volunteer or attend colleague. We'll be looking to you to take an active interest in their hobbies and enable individuals to explore new opportunities.

To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:

Due to public transport not always coinciding with shifts it would be great if you had a full UK driving licence and access to a car, however this is not essential to join our team as a Bank Support Practitioner.

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated friendly team provide 24/7 support which is tailored to the needs of each individual, so depending on shift length you may be supporting more than one individual but do not worry as we factor travel into your hours. Our shifts include 7.30am – 3pm, 2:30pm – 9pm, full days and sleepovers.
