A well-known care agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a Female 1:1 Health Care Assistant for elderly residents, particularly those with dementia. The role requires providing personalized support, promoting independence, and maintaining safety. Candidates should have experience in UK-based care, good communication skills, and a willingness to undergo checks. Benefits include flexible hours, weekly pay, and free training. Holiday pay is separate, NOT inclusive of your hourly pay. i.e. £12.50 + holiday pay
Your role would be to provide support and care to elderly residents within the nursing homes. The position offers long days (15 hours) and split shifts (AM/PM).
Your role would be to provide support on a 1:1 basis to elderly ladies with dementia within the residential care. As an elderly care assistant, you will support elderly residents whilst supporting their daily needs and maintaining their safety and independence. Additionally, you will support elderly individuals with their mental health, dementia, learning disabilities and physical health through support, inclusion, personal care and everyday needs.
Through working as part of a team, you will provide the highest quality of care to residents with the Care Home along with treating residents with respect for their choices and preferences. You will be aiding to promote independence, aiding to develop life skills and encouraging individuals to get involved with a range of activities.
On agency, you also have the opportunity to get involved with various clients including learning disabilities, hostels, homelessness, children and young people, mental health and more by encouraging people to live their lives to the fullest.
Ideally you will be a driver in order to access the homes easily and attend shifts on time however this is not essential.
