Job summary

The One Health Group invites a fellowship-trained consultant general surgeon to join the team serving the Lincolnshire region. The post involves assessing and operating on NHS patients referred via the NHS e-Referral System, with clinics at outreach sites and operations at independent sector hospitals.

Travel between locations and obtaining hospital privileges are required. GMC registration without restrictions is essential, as is a current substantive NHS post or long-term locum experience,

Qualifications

• Fellowship in general surgery completed.
• FRCS (Orth) or equivalent sub-specialist qualification obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assess NHS patients referred through the NHS e-Referral System.
• Operate on NHS patients referred to One Health.
• Hold appointments across outreach clinic sites and operate in independent sector hospitals.
• Travel between locations and contribute to the growth of the One Health Group General Surgery team.
• Complete onboarding and obtain practising privileges at each hospital used.
