Job summary

Minster Law seeks a focused Fast Track Fee Earner to join our Non MOJ Car Team. You will manage a high-volume caseload of RTA pre-litigated and post-litigated claims, progressing cases to settlement with minimal supervision.

You’ll need a solid grasp of CPR and litigation processes, strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, while delivering excellent client service in line with firm protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience managing your own caseload of RTA pre-litigated claims.
• Good understanding of the CPR and litigation processes.
• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with practising rights is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload of RTA pre and post litigated non portal claims, progressing to settlement or transfer to litigation.
• Own the client relationship to optimise outcomes.
• Deal with complex liability disputes with minimal supervision.
• Assess quantum by reviewing medical reports and researching case law for complex injuries.
• Draft schedules of damages and assess awards for pain, suffering, loss of amenity and other damages.
• Negotiate with third parties to achieve best settlements and identify litigation opportunities.
• Prepare Court proceedings, handle directions, disclosure, hearings and instruct Counsel/experts as needed.

Fast Track Fee Earner - Requirements

• Previous experience of managing your own caseload of RTA pre-litigated claims.

• Good understanding of the CPR and litigation processes.

• A qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with additional practicing rights, would be desirable.

• Good understanding of the CPR and litigation processes.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Tactically astute and an excellent negotiator.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive approach to learning and professional development is highly desirable.

Fast Track Fee Earner - Responsibilities

• Responsible for a high-volume caseload of RTA pre and post litigated non portal claims, following Minster Law best practise, in order to progress your claims through to settlement or transfer to litigation.

• Ownership of the client relationship ensuring that the right outcome is achieved and the client’s claim is optimised.

• Ability to deal with complex liability disputes involving motorcycles, and denials of liability with minimal supervision.

• Assess quantum to include reviewing medical reports and researching and obtaining relevant case law for complex multi-site injuries.

• Drafting schedules of special damages and assessing suitable awards for compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenity, and other general damages.

• Negotiate with third parties to ensure we receive the best settlement figures for our clients in a proactive and timely manner, identify litigation opportunities where appropriate.

• Drafting Court proceedings, dealing with direction questionnaires, adhering to court directions and timescales, preparing relevant documents for disclosure, dealing with telephone hearings, submitting evidence and instructing Counsel/other appropriate experts as required.

Salary Information

The annual salary range for this role is £29,500 - £37,000
