Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician in Devizes, Wiltshire. You will join a busy fast-fit team with a clear career path, and a competitive package including a bonus scheme and extensive training.

You will perform tyre fitting, brake/exhaust work, servicing, and maintain precise job documentation. A full UK driving licence and IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven experience in fast fit services, including tyre fitting, brakes, exhausts, suspension and general vehicle repairs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tyre repairs and tyre fitting accurately.
• Conduct exhaust and brake removals and repairs.
• Perform basic vehicle servicing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with company procedures.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned of dirt, oil, or marks after work.

Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician position in Devizes, Wiltshire. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced motor trade professional seeking a role with excellent benefits, clear career progression, and reputable employer support.

• Competitive salary between £28,000 and £29,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Uncapped performance-related bonus scheme approximately £3,600 annually, paid monthly
• 42.5-hour working week over a fixed 5-day schedule (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, with one Saturday in two, 8:00am-4:00pm)

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Accurately carry out tyre repairs and tyre fitting
• Conduct exhaust and brake removals and repairs
• Perform basic vehicle servicing
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned of any dirt, oil, or marks resulting from work carried out
• Assist in maintaining high industry standards
• Contribute to team efforts by performing additional duties as reasonably required
• Always present a professional appearance, including wearing the correct uniform

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Recognised qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Proven experience in fast fit services, including tyre fitting, brakes, exhausts, suspension, and general vehicle repairs
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Friendly, professional attitude with a commitment to quality work
