Job summary

Manchester Metropolitan University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for a Tutor in Visual Communication in Fashion. Our Manchester Fashion Institute is renowned for industry connections and high-impact teaching.

You will support education leads, deliver engaging lectures, contribute to curriculum development, and provide pastoral guidance to students across modules, fostering inclusion and academic success.

Qualifications

• A good first degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifications.
• Expertise in visual communication / graphic design
• An understanding of metric relevant to higher education
• Desirable: PGCE, Certificate of Education, PGCLTHE or HEA membership
• Experience providing academic support to students (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across fashion visual communication.
• Support curriculum development, assessment and feedback quality.
• Enhance student engagement and progression across programmes.
• Provide pastoral and academic guidance and signpost relevant services.
• Apply broad visual design expertise to fashion contexts across digital and print channels.
