Job description

Our client is looking for a full‑time Mobile Agricultural Technician to join their team within a long‑established, family‑run agricultural contracting environment. This role involves operating mobile seed processing units across a wide range of farms in East Anglia, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced seasonal business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a mobile seed processing unit on farms throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Essex.
  • Accurately calibrate machinery and manage day‑to‑day workflow on site.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safe and correct working practices.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and farm staff to deliver first‑class service and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Travel daily to different farm locations as required.

Full training will be provided, including HGV, PA1, and PA11 qualifications if not already held.

Working Hours & Flexibility

This role requires a high level of flexibility, particularly during the busy Harvest period. While the standard working pattern is 40 hours per week, the successful candidate must be prepared for:

  • Longer working days during peak seasons
  • Significant overtime opportunities, especially throughout Harvest and spring seed processing periods

Harvest is the busiest time of year, and those willing to work extended hours will benefit from substantial earning potential.
