Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Pig Stockperson to join our friendly and professional team in Goole. In this hands‑on role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining excellent standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and overall farm productivity. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within agriculture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily care of pigs, including feeding, moving, serving, treating, vaccinating, and general handling.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare in line with Company policies, RSPCA Assured Standards, and the Five Freedoms.
  • Following all Company Policies and procedures consistently.
  • Safely operating farm machinery and equipment (training and qualifications provided as required).
  • Reporting any site damage promptly to the Line Manager.
  • Upholding strong biosecurity and site security standards, ensuring all buildings and gates are secure.
  • Using consumables such as feed and medicines responsibly and correctly.
  • Participating in both on‑farm and classroom‑based training sessions.
  • Keeping all areas of the unit clean, tidy, and presentable.
  • Working closely with colleagues to meet performance targets and maintain a positive team environment.
  • Assisting with weekend and holiday cover when necessary.
  • Completing any additional tasks relevant to the role as directed by management.
Requirements & Person Specification
