Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Branstons own grown crop across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
  • Drive financial and quality aspects of the crop.
  • Work closely with the Procurement Manager to determine growth needs.
  • Select and manage contractors for timely and cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The Role

Reporting to the Field Technical Manager, we are looking for an experienced Farm Manager to manage all of Branstons own grown crop across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. You will also drive the financial and quality aspects of the crop.

What will you be doing?

  • Work closely with the Procurement Manager to understand what to grow
  • Responsible for securing the necessary land
  • Responsible for selecting suitable contractors to carry out the work, that is both timely and cost effective. Carry out annual reviews
  • Be responsible for the production of and managing the Farming budget
  • Procurement of all crop inputs
  • Maintain full control of all costs related to growing and storage of all crops
  • Review the whole operation annually and produce a report with recommendations for the future
  • Ensure that crop quality is monitored throughout the whole season
  • Keep abreast of all areas of the industry and communicate issues that may affect the business to your Manager
  • Ensure full compliance with regards to raw material, labour and suppliers. E.g. Sedex, Red tractor, Leaf, Agency Management
  • Manage crops through the storage phase
  • Manage passport and stock levels as crop is outloaded
  • Be responsible for any trials that are carried out through the growing process on Branston farming land
