Job description

The Farm Management Support Team Lead is part of Cluster Atlantic (UK and Ireland). Clusters are representing Lely on sales and service of chosen propositions in a specific region. Clusters collaborate with both local Lely Centers (Franchises) and Lely International located in Maassluis, The Netherlands (Head Office). Lely considers service to be an integral part of any proposition. Lely Atlantic support the Lely Centers as part of their Franchise fee to Lely International. Lely International operates a Matrix organisational chart headed up by Business Leads (Manager Proposition) of the product ranges. They are the "what and the when" and the competencies FMS Team Lead are the "how and the who". The FMS Team Lead:

  • Is responsible for competence - and business team development, and as a team grows becomes dedicated to a single business team.
  • Hierarchically reports to the Service Support Manager.Operationally they will also report to the Manager Proposition of the Business Team.
  • Leads a team of Farm Management Specialists., The Team Lead FMS leads a team of Farm Management Support Specialists. This person ensures that the services and support meet the Lely standards and are in line with Lely value proposition, the Lely ways of working and the Lely Global Manual. They are also responsible for personal development of the team. The Team Lead can also contribute to the tasks., Role Description
  • Towards Cluster Business Teams
  • You are responsible for the daily coaching and management of the Farm Management Support Specialists
  • Set goals for the team, in line with company goals and values from both competence and Business Teams (together with the manager proposition of the Business Team in the Cluster)
  • Domain expert able to support the teams on their day to day service support.
  • Responsible for planning and distributing different Farm Management Support projects and activities amongst the different Farm Management Support Specialists responsible development and improvement of support quality by Lely Center in your domain and thus improving customers satisfaction.
  • Co-responsible (together with the Manager Service Support) for delivering input for the Cluster 5 - year plan on Lely Center FMS start up and service goals.
  • Towards Lely International
  • Collaborating on new product validations with your cluster
  • Transfer regional field knowledge back to Lely International and vice versa
  • Regular collaboration with Lely International FMS to improve training, products and services.
  • Training Support
  • Establishes the needs of Lely Center FMS advisors and the demands that come from the field, including mutual; farm, visits
  • Follow training as part of a train the trainer program by the Lely Academy
  • Trains Lely Center FMS Advisors on the best use of Lely products and the total proposition, using the Lely Academy training curriculum
  • Ensures the Lely Center FMS Advisors are qualified and certified
  • Collaborates with Lely International upon request on the creation of training content
  • Provide support to the Lely Center resolving tickets and answering to questions and field queries
  • Coaching and developing of Lely Center
  • Co-responsible (together with the Manager Service Support) for delivering input for the Cluster 5 - year plan on Lely Center Farm Management Support start up and service goals.
  • Monitors the Lely Center performance on Farm Management Support Goals
  • Coaching, advising and supporting Lely Centers on 5 year plans
  • Coach Lely Center on using Farm Management Support tooling and way of working.
  • Assistance and mediation of possible solutions to customer complaints.
  • NPI
  • Serves as a first contact for Lely International in farm selection for validation
  • Follow NPI related workshop training. Train relevant Lely Center FMS advisors.
  • Provide feedback on validation to Lely International
  • Collaborate towards market introduction of the proposition of your region.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Close collaboration with Lely Centers
  • Working closely with the Lely International Farm Management Support Business Team colleagues to show, communicate and address local needs.
  • Maintains and expands the network with regional and national stakeholders
  • Support of external consultants (e.g. feeding advisors or veterinarians) for successful management.
  • Build local network of relevant business knowledge and research partners.
