Job description
Overview

Provide high quality Family Time sessions in appropriate environments achieving positive outcomes for Looked After Children and their families. The role delivers services flexibly in a variety of settings, undertaking interventions to contribute to the overall assessment held by Children and Families social care teams.

You will work with vulnerable families with complex needs to empower them to develop their parenting skills, improve the quality of family interactions, preventing family breakdown and supporting rehabilitation plans.

Our Family Time Support Workers contribute to the protection of children and will be able to identify and act upon risk of danger, harm and abuse.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate the planning, delivery and outcomes of Family Time and direct work within case notes, verbally and within recording systems.
  • Deliver interventions, promote positive outcomes for children and families, prevent family breakdown and support rehabilitation plans.
  • Have good organisational skills to effectively manage your case load, using agreed systems, rotas and calendars.
  • Develop effective working relationships with parents, children and colleagues, sharing difficult complex and sensitive issues.
  • Perform the role as a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty requiring a specified level of spoken English.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Relevant level 3 qualification e.g. NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • DBS.

Contract & Salary

Grade: F £31,022- £34,434 per annum plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963 per annum or £15,507- £17,210 per annum plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963 per annum.

Contract: 3x Permanent 37 hours per week, 1x permanent 18.5 hours per week, 1x 37 hours per week FTC, 1x 18.5 hours per week FTC.
