Job Advert: TAF Worker
This role provides direct support to children, young people, and their families/carers, ensuring services are delivered in line with national standards, guidance, and legislation.
Key Responsibilities Provide a consistent, high-quality service to children, young people, parents, and carers referred to the Families First TAF Service.
Work in partnership with families and professionals both internally and externally.
Promote and represent the TAF Service positively with partner agencies.
Undertake assessments of need and risk to inform support planning.
Facilitate and chair multi-agency meetings and reviews, ensuring support plans are agreed, implemented, and monitored.
Implement support plans, including ongoing assessment, planning, monitoring, and review.
Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families under supervision.
Use motivational techniques to encourage families to engage with support and strengthen relationships.
Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with council policies.
Maintain accurate case records electronically and in files.
Provide information for the Early Help Manager and Management Board as required.
Participate in supervision, appraisal, and continuous professional development.
Contribute to the development of the Annual Service Plan and assist in meeting performance targets.
Strong communication, motivational, and organisational skills.
Ability to facilitate multi-agency meetings and manage support plans.
Awareness of safeguarding policies and relevant legislation.
Registration with Social Care Wales is not essential.
