Neway International are seeking a Family Support Worker – Grade 4 to join our client Birmingham Children’s Trust.

Location: The Circle, Birmingham
Hours: 36.5 per week (08:45 – 17:15)
Start Date: asap
End Date: ongoing
Pay Rates: PAYE £15.84 per hour / Limited/Umbrella £20.46 per hour

The Role

As a Family Support Worker, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide timely and effective support to children, young people, and families. You will use evidence-based interventions to promote positive change, safeguard welfare, and help families achieve better outcomes. This temporary role is to cover a secondment and offers the opportunity to contribute to Birmingham Children’s Trust’s ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as lead professional for an allocated caseload of children and families
  • Undertake assessments and develop effective multi-agency support plans
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote welfare and positive change
  • Maintain accurate case records and reports to professional standards
  • Convene and chair case planning and review meetings where appropriate
  • Engage families through persistent outreach, promoting participation in assessments and plans
  • Work collaboratively with safeguarding colleagues and multi-agency partners
  • Contribute to performance monitoring and service development initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion
