Worcestershire County Council is looking for a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our Children's Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a council that recognises the importance of supporting and developing staff who deliver services for children and young people.

This pivotal role is focused on working directly with families 0-18 across Worcestershire. You will play a crucial part in working in partnership with agencies and relevant professionals to ensure good outcomes and life chances for children and young people.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assessment, Planning, and Review: You will be required to assess, plan, and review the needs of families in a timely way, ensuring that support is in place to meet their current and future needs.
  • Direct Work: Work directly with children and young people who may have social and emotional difficulties, including those presenting complex and challenging behaviours, while supporting the whole family unit. The role requires the ability to understand and work with these young people.
  • Collaboration: Ensure good partnership multi-agency working to provide a holistic and coordinated support package for every family.
  • Engagement: Develop and maintain strong working relationships to encourage engagement and facilitate positive change within the family dynamic.
