Job summary

A children's residential service provider in Bournemouth is seeking a compassionate Family Support Worker to support families in a residential setting. Qualifications

  • Experience in family support, social care or similar work is desirable.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate well.
  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3.

Family Support Worker - £13.50-£15.00 Depending on experience
Hours: Flexible – full-time, 36 hours / week

We’re looking for caring and reliable people to support families in a residential children's service based in Bournemouth. You will supervise family contact sessions, support parents in a residential assessment centre, or provide practical and emotional help to families at home or in the community. You will be working closely with families, keeping accurate records, and supporting safeguarding and assessment work.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and motivated to help families achieve positive change. You can build trusting relationships, communicate well, and work flexibly. Experience in family support, social care or similar work is desirable, but full training is provided.

For this role, an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. But not to worry, if you don't have this but are willing to work towards it, you will still be considered.
