Family Support and Health Care Workers

Hours

Full and part time hours available 8pm – 8am.

£13.50 per hour

Overview

Urgent support required. We are looking for health care workers to support a young boy called Zac. Zac has a rare cardiac condition and requires 24/7 care and support. You will always be supported by an experienced support worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop as a health care worker and to provide this gorgeous family with much needed support within the home.

About Zac

My name is Zac, I am 8 years old and my Mam is looking for some excellent people to help look after me. She can then sleep as well as do all the other things that Mam’s need to do. I have 4 siblings and our house is a very busy and fun house. It is essential you have a sense of humour.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support during the day and night as required by my medical needs.
  • Follow my care and emergency plan and receive full training.
  • Work under my mam’s direction to meet my needs and will be accountable to her in all aspects of your work.
  • Encourage activity: playing with toys, music, singing, watching cartoons, and outdoor activities to support my development.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Have a recognised, accredited care qualification with children.
  • Experience of tracheostomy care (training can be given to the right person).
  • Enhanced DBS will be required for this role, paid for by the employer.
Other Requirements

At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
