Role: Family Mediation Accredited Solicitor

A nationwide leading law firm is seeking experienced Family Mediation Accredited Solicitor for prestigious permanent role within its expanding team. The firm is seeking a talented and ambitious Solicitor and Family Mediator (or solicitor with a strong interest in mediation) to support the continued growth of its family and children law services. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload of child care and family matters while contributing to the development of the firm's family mediation offering. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team known for providing exceptional client service and achieving positive outcomes for children and families. The firm is looking for a solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE who is either an accredited Family Mediator or has a genuine interest in developing a mediation practice alongside their legal work. This position would suit someone who is keen to play an active role in expanding mediation services, building professional relationships, and helping shape the future direction of the team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Report directly to Department Director
• Responsible for all aspects of Family Law work including providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members
• Ability to manage and supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors and Caseworkers to manage appropriate caseload types and complexities
• Assisting with delivery of appropriate training and development in the department
• Variety of duties including dealing with a range of Family work including divorce, financial disputes and remedies, international elements of child abduction/ adoption, injunctions/ non molestation order and providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members

Key Skills Required

• Must have a clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying
• Be committed and highly driven to provide an excellent standard of service to our clients
• Strong management skills
• Committed team player with ability to approach team concerns fairly, foster culture of positive change and encourage cross referrals
• Professional with a pro-active approach; excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable client matters in a sensitive manner and resolve complicated practicalities involved in Family Law issues
