The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Family Solicitor to join the firm’s expanding Family team in South Manchester. The position offers a varied and high-quality caseload of purely private family matters, with particular emphasis on complex financial remedy cases and divorce work, alongside some private children matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of divorce, financial remedy, and private children cases.
• Advising on high-value financial settlements, including matters involving police and public sector pensions.
• Preparing and negotiating pre-nuptial, post-nuptial, and cohabitation agreements.
• Working closely with clients to provide practical, sensitive, and strategic advice.
• Managing cases from initial instruction through to resolution, maintaining excellent standards of client care.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and external professionals.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE in private family law.
• Proven experience handling complex financial remedy work.
• Familiarity with police pension and public sector pension issues is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Organised, commercially aware, and committed to professional growth.
