Job summary

Realm Recruit is partnering with a Legal 500-recognised family team that’s expanding. You’ll inherit an existing private family caseload and help shape the future of the department across Liverpool and beyond, with a clear path to leadership.

You’ll manage divorce, financial remedies and private children matters from day one, with hybrid working (office and home) after probation, 21 days’ holiday, and ongoing mentoring to support your career goals.

Qualifications

• Solicitor with 2–3+ PQE in private family law.
• Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Experience handling divorce, financial remedy and private children matters.
• Desirable: commercial or high-net-worth divorce experience.
• Willingness to engage in business development and networking.
• Friendly, ambitious and collaborative, with a growth mindset.
• Eagerness to help grow and shape a department.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own private family caseload from day one.
• Take over an existing caseload following a planned departure.
• Advise clients on divorce, financial remedy, private children and related family matters.
• Work closely with the Senior Associate on more complex cases.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Participate in networking, marketing and business development activities.

Who we’re looking for

• Family Solicitor with 2–3+ PQE and strong private family law experience
• Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Experience handling divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
• Commercial or HNW divorce experience (desirable)
• Interested in business development and networking
• Friendly, ambitious and approachable, with no ego
