Job summary

Bay CE School is seeking an Assistant Family Liaison Officer on our secondary site in Sandown. The role involves working alongside the Family Liaison Officer to provide safeguarding support to pupils and families, plus administrative duties to ensure a comprehensive safeguarding service.

The successful candidate will be well organised, with safeguarding and child protection experience and strong interpersonal skills, supporting parents to engage with education and welfare needs.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding and child protection experience is highly desirable.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical help and emotional support to pupils and families.
• Deliver a range of administrative duties to support safeguarding services.
• Act as lead professional for families open to Early Help / Family Help.
• Assist the Family Liaison Officer with preventative and early intervention activities.
