Job summary

Blackpool Council is recruiting a Family Worker to join our Family Hubs and deliver the Best Start Family Hub and Healthy Babies offer in Blackpool. The role focuses on supporting and signposting families and agencies to access services, with emphasis on developing relationships from pregnancy through early parenthood.

You will work in a supportive team, promote strengths-based practice, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences to ensure high-quality early help for children aged 0-19.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children under five and their families.
• Understanding of Family Hubs and Early Years/Child Development.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to promote information to a range of audiences.
• Reflective practitioner who embraces strengths-based work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support families and signpost to services and other agencies.
• Support development of new services within Blackpool Family Hubs.
• Promote early help and strengthen parent–infant relationships.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure high-quality practice.
