Job summary

A local government council in Greater London is seeking a Family Hub Co-ordinator to support children with additional needs in a specialist family hub. You will engage with families, manage the front desk, and ensure the effective running of the center. Strong organizational skills and a passion for helping children with disabilities are essential. This is a temporary full-time position, with a salary range of £37,509 - £38,637 per annum.

About the role

Do you have good organisation skills and a understanding of working with children with disabilities and complex needs and their families Are you passionate about ensuring all children can achieve their full potential

The Stephen Wiltshire Centre Specialist Family Hub provides a range of services for children with additional needs and disabilities and their families. These services include the delivery of Short Breaks for children and young people aged 8-18 with a range of needs as well as delivering play and stay sessions for under 8s. We also run a range of clinics or drop-in sessions for parents with children with additional needs.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in working as part of the Stephen Wiltshire Centre Specialist Family Hub in the role of Family Hub Co-ordinator to join the team on a 1 year fill time contract.

The main responsibilities of the role are
  • Front of house duties including meeting and greeting
  • Opening and closing the centre undertaking health & safety duties undertaking safeguarding responsibilities
  • Managing the reception area and office at Stephen Wiltshire Centre
  • Stock taking ordering and processing payments of resources for Family Hub activities
  • Arranging the registration of families new to the centre
  • Engaging parents into the range of services available to families to support their needs
  • Arranging sessions and facilitating the booking of parents and their children to attend sessions and explain the processes of booking
  • Answering and forwarding telephone calls and emails to the centre through our Duty system
  • Sorting and distribution of post and arranging couriers
  • Data entry on a number of Childrens services IT platforms
  • Data collection of groups and activities and reporting of data
