Qualifications

  • Recognised Level 3 qualification or higher in social work, childcare, education, or a related field.
  • Experience in planning and delivering play-based activities for children aged 0–12 years.
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding practices and risk management.
  • Experience in supporting parents with mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver interventions to support families with a focus on parental mental health.
  • Provide direct family support and plan play sessions.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support.

Skills

Planning and delivering play-based activities
Knowledge of safeguarding practices
Supporting parents with mental health challenges
Excellent verbal and written communication
Engaging families, including those 'seldom heard'
Casework experience
Group-based interventions

Education

Level 3 qualification or higher in relevant field
